The is an excellent report covering the US military production, aside from the US Navy, in World War 1. In addition to pointing out the difficulties in rapidly developing a military equipment production base, it also gives some outstanding descriptions as to how very large guns are made, and the complexities of assembling weapons. A very useful and enlightening work.
